Dimensio opts to expand SAP Business One

Dimensio uses SAP Business One to unify its business admin as it continues to acquire new brands.

Founded in 1992, Dimensio manufacturers and sells a wide range of plastic bin liners for home and industrial use. Their motto ‘A bag for every bin’ sums up the variety of their product catalogue. In recent years, the company has expanded rapidly into other areas of the packaging market through a series of successful acquisitions. As a result, they needed a scalable solution that would enable them to consolidate the business administration from all the companies within their portfolio.

The company had always been satisfied with their SAP Business One ERP system and wanted a way to expand its functionalities, so that they could manage all their different subsidiaries’ resources within a single, consolidated system. We also supported them in implementing and integrating additional tools to support their growth: Scan Sys and our own Intercompany Tool.

Centralised inventory and product management

Aiden helped Dimensio implement an inventory and product management system based on our Intercompany Tool for their main warehouse in the Netherlands. Each product is now registered and managed in the SAP Business One environment, which enables Dimensio to automatically sync inventory data in real time with all six of its sales admin systems. The Aiden Intercompany Tool also makes it easy for Dimensio to allocate costs for incoming and outgoing stock movements. Meanwhile, the Scan Sys solution automates invoice scanning, verification and processing.

A blueprint for future growth

The first step of the project was to develop a template that Dimensio and Aiden could use to implement the administrations of each different acquired brand. This template enabled the team to seamlessly go live for all brands within just a few months. It also provides a standard procedure that can be rolled out in the future again, whenever new brands need to be added. This is a major benefit for a company like Dimensio, which is rapidly expanding through its acquisition strategy.
